Book VI · 58
No man will hinder thee from living according to the reason of thy own nature: nothing will happen to thee contrary to the reason of the universal nature.
From living according to the reason of thy nature no one can prevent thee: contrary to the reason of the Universal Nature nothing shall befall thee.
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations VI.58. Translated by George Long (1862). The Stoic Library.
