Book IX · 19
All things are changing: and thou thyself art in continuous mutation and in a manner in continuous destruction, and the whole universe too.
Change is the universal experience. Thou art thyself undergoing a perpetual transformation and, in some sort, decay: aye and the whole Universe as well.
Marcus Aurelius, Meditations IX.19. Translated by George Long (1862). The Stoic Library.
